Florida family’s 498-acre cattle ranch protected from development through $7.48m conservation easement

A 498-acre cattle ranch known as Turnpike Dairy has been protected from future development through a conservation easement. The agreement allows the managing family to continue agricultural operations on the property. Martin County contributed $3.74 million towards the $7.48 million deal to preserve the land. This conservation effort is part of Florida’s Rural and Family Lands Protection Program, which protects working farms.
